Place verification

Verification on Mukoko

One verification, recognised everywhere — a place's badge travels with it across the whole Mukoko ecosystem: Kweli, Mukoko Events, listings and news. Find a place to see where it stands.

Verification happens on Mukoko Verify

One record, one tier, recognised in every Mukoko app. See your tier and Mukoko trust score, verify who you are, or verify a business.

  1. Unverified

Nothing about who runs the place has been checked yet.

  2. Contact verified

A representative confirmed the place's phone or email.

  3. Documents checked

  4. Government verified

    Registration checked against official records.

  5. Licensed professional

Held beside the level, never above or below it:

  • Community vouched

Enough people who know the place vouched for who runs it. It is not an identity check.

  • Registered business

A business registration reference was checked.

  • Domain verified

Control of the place's website domain was confirmed.
